Twilight in Delhi: an interpretation
by Basit Alyii
The book is the easiest possible interpretation of the novel Twilight in Delhi, written by Ahmad Ali. The novel has already bocome a reference book on India or Delhi. Only a person having Indian background could have explained it. On my part, I've just tried to explain the book for curriculum purposes. The students of Literature would like to read the details retold by a person who is sufficiently indian in background.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: This was one of the books I wrote in my early career. The purpose behind was to provide the students an easiest explanation of not only the novel but also of the Indian background. Besides this I have written explanatory books on Jazz, by Toni Morrison, Adrienne Rich, Richard Wilbur, John Ashbery, Silvia Plath, Thomas Wyatt and Henry Howard.
