ABOUT THE BOOK
Freedom of speech comes with responsibility and the use of common sense. However, it's not negotiable and if you don't understand the importance of freedom of speech, then you don't understand the values, which have led us to where we are today. Everyone should express who they are and it is a part of Human Rights. Democracy has made us prosperous and it is because of it, we are proud to fight for freedom, even in places where there is no freedom at all. Many fundamentalists want us to compromise our values because they feel offended by our approach on religion.
Our forefathers sacrificed their lives, so that we can have the freedom, we have today.
Religious fundamentalists take advantage of society and people so much that they want us to remain silent, when it comes to criticize their faiths. The weapon of religion is fear. In this book, I also talk about other areas where freedom of speech is suppressed, beside religion. In many countries, where there is dictatorship of all sorts, Human Rights and other universal values don't matter because the weapon of dictators and other human rights abusers is tyranny. Everyone has a right to be a free man and being a free man is not a crime. You fight for freedom when it's there, not when it's gone.
