The Longest Night: A Collection of Folklores

ABOUT THE BOOK
Besides Church, most of the belief systems and values which shape our adult lives came from the stories we were told as children. The Longest Night is a collection of those kinds of folklores told by a fictional character called Papa Story. Like us who hounded our parents and other adults to tell us stories, the children in this village gathered to listen to folk tales from an elderly man. For many hours, they held on, defying sleep and listening to this man throughout the night which many in the little town believed was the longest night they have ever seen. Although few fell asleep but they would not be left unnoticed because no child would afford missing a word from Papa Story.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dave and Dennis are two brothers born and raised in Doodwicken, Sinoe County in the West African country of Liberia. They began compiling this collection of short stories at the Oru Refugee Camp in Ogun State, Nigeria which was their third counttry of refuge from the Liberian civil war in 1996. Graduates of Monrovia College in 1986 and 1988, former students of the University of Liberia, they obtained their Associate degrees from the Bucks county community college in Newtown, Pennsylvania in 2002 and 2003 respectively. Dave attended Temple University where he obtained his bachelors degree in Psychology while Dennis got his in Computer Networking from Strayer University. They are presently at the La Salle University in Pennsylvania pursuing their masters in Psychological Counseling and Information Technology Leadership respectively.
