ABOUT THE BOOK

Eight short stories describe the adventures of two songbirds living in a shrinking habitat. The brown thrasher birds,Enrico and Mariah, meet, wed, and raise their young on a farm. They cope with a tornado, unfriendly birds,a rat, a dog and a cat. Drawings by eleven year old Gabriella Nicole Fuller are visual treats. The stories profile behavior of brown thrashers with factual information about their songs, nest building, food preferences and feeding habits, and caring for their offspring.
