How much would you pay for her hand in marriage? Is she worth more than your mother, bank account, job or your life? A young innocent Zimbabwean man had to learn it the hard and bitter way. He had nothing to show of for except love and she had everything to show of for except the father. When lobola was demanded for, the father charged Dexter an amount out of his reach and a currency he had never sat eyes on - the pound. The inflation rate of the Zimbabwean Dollar stood at one million percent. A series of unfortunate events follow up, but are they going to manage to pull through for love or are they going to succumb to the pressure?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

During my high school years a friend once asked for my assistance and I wrote him a story that even surpassed mine. It was denied because it was too good to originate from one of us. Ever since I never stopped writing. Although I faced a lot of criticism and discouragement - English being my third language after Shona, Ndebele and Chewa and before Setswana - I kept writing. I am a father of two boys and currently residing in Botswana.
