Branded Fugitives

Branded Fugitives is the story of Ivie Omoruyi, a Bini girl from Nigeria, who naively joins an international network of sex workers in Europe, hoping to further her education while helping her family out of the financial difficulties it appears to be trapped in. She never realises her dream, and the outcome leaves the family members in more tragic circumstances than they ever were. The changing values of the time permit self-debasement robed in the attractive apparel of prosperity, and it can only produce the unfortunate incidents as are seen in the story.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Aire Oboh was born in the Esan town of Ekpoma, in Edo State, Nigeria. He studied English at the Universities of Benin and Lagos. His works have been published in international literary journals.
