by Wood Way
Jake Tama is a riverboat captain, and has been around rivers all his life. Oh, he did spend some time on the ocean in the Navy. Then sixteen years as a policeman -- homicide, mostly. But even then he drove boats. Then he bought his own excursion boat, and moved it to Branson, where the business was good. And that is where his problem started -- crime, murders, mostly. Everywhere he'd go something happened to get him drawn into resolving a mystery, even worse than when he was a cop. Like what happened in Branson -- the murder of the Branson Star. Two of them, in fact. Jake was even accused of committing one of the murders. Then he was almost a victim. And yes, he had a few romances along the way. But we're getting ahead of ourselves.
