by Jonathan Iribhogbe
The boy Willis Maduka was destined to live by divine providence, protection and preservation. He survived the sharp, strong and devouring teeth of the wild beasts in the forest of Bende to which he wandered. God overuled and upturned the sinister recklessness of his father; though given the most favourable circumstances Maduka would have "walked" a longer and more arduous way to his ultimate greatness, safety and joy. The story is designed to stimulate reading among students in the upper classes of Primary Schools and the lower forms of Secondary Schools, so that they can improve on their vocabulary and understanding of English Language.ABOUT THE AUTHORJonathan Odiagbe Iribhogbe hails from the South-South of Nigeria.
