Five years after the Great War, a violent quake caused five large islands to rise from the bottom of the Great Southern Sea. The enterprising Arka-Dal claimed these lands for the Empire then opened them to colonization. For several years, the colony grew and thrived. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Art Wiederhold is the author of the wildly popular Thulian Chronicles and several other fantasy novels. During his life, he has had many professions, including war correspondent, international reporter, soldier, sailor, gourmet chef and professional baseball player. He currently lives in St. Louis with his wife, son, two crazy cats and six documented ghosts.
