BAPTIST FIRST CARIB (KALINARGO) NURSE,tells of the life and contributions made by this great and remarkable woman, who stood some 5feet tall, championing the cause of her people the Caribs / Kalinargo / Garifuna, the native inhabitants of ST.Vincent and the Grenadines.
The first of the descendant of the great Joesph Chatoyea to have entered the Colonial Hospital in becoming a certified full fledged Nurse, Mother Sarah Baptist nee John also served her people in the capacities as a Mid - wife, Doctor, Medical Dispenser, Preacher and Sunday School Teacher, Community Leader and founder of the first Mother's Union in her community.
A simply woman whose life expireances are aspireing and astonishing, as she rode mules, donkeys and even bicycles, and even paddling the waters of the Atlantic Ocean to get to the aid of her patients.
