Attophysics A tribute to great physicist Oliver Heaviside

by J. Marciak-Kozlowska M. Kozlowski M. Pelc
ABOUT THE BOOK
It occurs that clues about relativity were appearing before Einstein. There were obvious results like the Michelson-Morley experiment and the Lorentz-Fitzgerald contraction proposed to explain it. Heaviside spent much of his time working with Maxwell's equations, which should really be called Heaviside's equations, which inherently has Lorentz group symmetry. Moreover O. Heaviside for the first time formulated idea that the transport equation should be hyperbolic in order to preserve the finite propagation velocity. In this book following the ideas of the O Heaviside, we formulate the description of the transport phenomena at the attosecond pictures, i.e. for the times of the order of 10E-18 s.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Professor Janina Marciak - Kozlowska is the author and co-author of over 200 scientific papers and three books published in Poland and USA. Her main scientific interest is the investigation of the matter in extreme conditions: ultra-high energy and ultra-short times. Professor Miroslaw Kozlowski late Director of the Science Teachers College, Warsaw University, is the author of over 300 scientific papers and four books published in USA. His main interest is the structure of the Universe at Planck Era. Dr Magdalena Pelc is the author of twenty papers published in scientific journals. Magdalena Pelc is the teacher of the math and physics at the private school in Warsaw.
