This book is written with a view to enlighten the varied aspects of marriage, the psychosocial aspects and its intricacies. Marriage is an age old institution which is undergoing a transformation with changing times. Indian culture demands that a stable marriage is the cornerstone for a family. Yet time and again (even when one wants to stay within the georgraphy of marital relationship ) such relationship are broken on emotional and egoistic background. At times you are pushed out of the relationship based on extra pressures exerted on you in spite of knowing what the implications of the decision taken. Say when a marriage of a son or daughter breaks with the present day trend of filing dowry harassment cases the whole family collapses. Even if it is a love marriage conducted within the confines of arranged marriage the parents become answerable. The burden falls on the earning father who is pushed to save his personal family at the same time save the son or daughter's social status by paying the amount demanded. It is therefore necessary to understand marriage is a relationship that needs to stand the test of time. With such a view the book is written to bring out certain facets of human relationships.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The author is a teacher who has taught in different medical schools. He is not only a teacher but a mentor of many students whose professional and personal lives are influenced by him. His father was a great example who kept his marriage alive in spite of being married to a mentally compromised lady. His father remained as the husband, father and died on his terms showing that marriage is a bond that needs to be kept come what may. The auther has authored books in his subject and on human sexuality.
