"American Literary Legends and Other Poems" is a collection of poems dedicated to some popular American scholars in Literature and Politics.Such as Edgar Allan Poe, Thomas Jefferson, Emily Dickinson, Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, and many others. It is summarily historical and odeic. Other related poems on the history of England and Englanders are collected together with them. It is my belief that readers will find them very interesting and useful.ABOUT THE AUTHORThe author is a graduate of English/Education, University of Ilorin,Nigeria. He is a professional teacher, researcher and poet. He serves (as at the time of the publication of the book) as the HOD Arts/Humanities Department, Foundation Model College, Ikirun, Osun State, Nigeria.
And as a way of bringing out students' creative talent,he founded a club named Creative Writers Club in the year 2009.
Although the author is a Nigerian he strongly believes in the universality of human race. However, his interest in Anglo-American Literature inspired him to write the book.
Mr. Olawuyi has collections of poems yet to be published with about 15 articles and poems published in journals and magazines - both online and offline.(2011, paperback, 38 pages)
