ABOUT THE BOOK
The book contains simplified algorithms for the manual operation of numbers. It is intended to to provide faster means of performing multiplication, squaring of numbers, extraction of square root and cube roots. In fact a general process for extracting the nth root of a number is provided, where n is an integer. It also contains simplified methods for conversion of units from metric to english and vice versa. It is designed to remove that fear of numbers common to most students. It includes a universal formula for determining the volume of regular solids including combination shapes and truncated shapes. A bonus feature of the book is a perpetual mathematical calendar which enables the user to determine mathematically the day of any date from January 1, 1900 forward. The book is cover by a copyright in the Philippines and a U.S. copyright has been applied for.

The author, Diosdado F. Fragata holds a degree in B.S.C.E. and took advance studies in Ship Design and Ship Dynamics. He is a member of the Yahoo Theoretical Physics Group and is actively participating in discussions pertaining to the different fields of the Physics discipline.
