AFRICA: ADVOCACY FOR RESPONSIBLE FOLLOWERSHIP

by William Adejuyigbe Adetona
Africa: Advocacy for Responsible Followership, is meant to challenge the average African to start taking responsibility for various activities on the continent. We should begin to shy away from the defeatist approach to issues of national development by always blaming the leaders or the West and some other foreign multinationals. It also aims at putting an end to idle talks among the African followership as we begin to ask ourselves what we can do for our continent and not what our continent can do for us. This is the only way the citizens of our various countries can begin to enjoy a good standard of living and occupy an enviable position on the UNDP index for 'the best countries to live in'.ABOUT THE AUTHORWilliam Adejuyigbe Adetona is an educationist and also the Evecutive Director of Foundation for Rural Education, Wildlife and Environment, The Gambia, West Africa.
