Larry is attracted towards his friend Rakesh's wife, while Rakesh is infatuated wih Cathy and in his pursuit, corrupts the mind of Larry with an incestuous desire. The story leads the reader through the realms of intrigue, wild passion, lust, violence,crime and murder. In the prison, it is the living ghost Lilly and headless Rakesh who haunt Larry. But at last he finds solace in the redemptive love of his mother, which takes him to an unprecedented height of divinity, where the last remnants of sorrows and fears vanish and eternal peace remains. A novel, readable and re-readable indeed.
