"The 5 Children" is a Sci-Fi fantasy alien story. It is about 5 friends who are super-heroes. Their leader Shane takes them on a journey to the Alien world where the friends experience danger and death. Amidst the aliens terrorizing the children, they come out victorious.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Shane Christopher Anthony Senewiratne is a Sri Lankan national. He is the son of Christopher Rohan Senewiratne and Judy Godlieb-Senewiratne, who is a freelance writer for oDesk, USA, and a Published Author by "Life of Riley Publications" U.K. Shane excelled in school academically,at Lyceum International and KGS International schools. He won the trophy for the "Best all-rounder" in school for his achievement academically and in the field of social service work and sports. He received an appreciation award from a leading social service organization "HelpAge, Sri Lanka" for the special effort in raising funds for the Needy Elders in Sri Lanka while at Lyceum International. As an active Interactor he received an award from "Rotary International District-3220- Rotary Club of Kandy, Sri Lanka" in appreciation of the "Successful Organization of Visiting Drought-Stricken Villages in Sri Lanka."As an active sportsman, Shane has won numerous sporting events while in school including Track and Field, Swimming and Martial Arts. Shane Senewiratne began serving as an Acolyte at the age of 7 under Rev. Father Michael Sandanam who later on in life became the Parish Priest where he lives in Kandy,Sri Lanka. Shane is a very level-headed person and is a very strong Roman Catholic. "The five Children" was written by Shane at the tender age of 10 years in 1996. ( It is produced 'As Is Written" from the original hand-written manuscript with very little editing) He is now 25 years of age, and works as a Manager for "Vodafone" in Doha Qatar. His passion is cricket and he plays actively for the "Vodafone" Cricket Team in Doha, Qatar
