I have been used to traffic lights, not roundabouts. It was curiosity that led me to discover the roundabouts in Hamad Town in the Kingdom of Bahrain. I will not tell you now what I have discovered in that ride. But you will come to know if join me in this trip of the "22 roundabouts", the second volume of my desert poems.ABOUT THE AUTHORThough she has written poems inspired by life in the desert, Carmela was born in Magsaysay Hill, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya.
Her late mother, Milagros Valera Reyes-Labitoria, encouraged Carmela in writing poems since she was 10 years old; she has not stopped writing since then.
